What Do You Do?

If you want to work with multiple demographics, you need to offer different services.

Everyone thinks they’re for everyone, alright?

You aren’t.

You probably have something to offer everyone, if everyone was open to it.

But it’s hard to talk to perimenopausal women and recent college grads in the same language, so that they really hear what it is you’re offering.

If someone asks me what I do, I say I’m a healer.

I say I teach yoga during normal times, and I run a wellness web site.

I say I practice Thai massage and do energy work akin to reiki.

I say I'm a business coach who helps healers like me build wealth by creating active and passive income streams.

I say I'm a consultant.

I say I'm an entrepreneur.

It changes depending on who I'm talking to.

If a women in her 40s asks me what I do, I’m going to steer the conversation towards my Thai massage and CBD lube offerings.

If a recent college grad asks me what I do, I’m going to talk about more about my online offerings.

It’s all healing.

It’s all yoga, if it creates a connection between the body and the feeling of the breath.

But it’s specifically how what I have learned can help them learn how to heal themselves.

That’s where niche marketing comes in.

I want to help everyone who wants my help, so I’ve built my business such that I have offerings for everyone.

That’s why I work in hospitals helping women give birth, and why I work in hospice centers helping people pass more comfortably, and everything in between.

But I can’t market a web site that’s like, “You probably need my help, call me” 😂

I built my business mindfully: I listened.

I heard what people needed, and I asked my guides if I could help, and I offered the help if the people were interested.

I paid attention to the themes, and I built my marketing around it.

I paid attention to what was helping me, and I learned how to offer it to others.

That’s what I can teach you how to do.

That’s what managing your money yogically is all about.

Being able to help the people you want to help and make a living doing it.
