What Do I Eat in a Day as a Vegan?
One of the most common questions I get asked is: What do you eat in a day as a vegan?
First, let me say that veganism is NOT just about the food. It means you avoid cruelty in all consumable products and avoid products tested on animals.
You might be more interested in eating a plant-based diet.
That’s how my vegan lifestyle started!
Being vegan is completely life-changing. It moves you further away from violence to connect with your highest self. It also makes a huge impact on environmental factors and your overall physical and spiritual health.
The other big question I get asked as a vegan is, don’t I miss cheese?? Fried chicken?? Bacon???
NOPE.
There’s a substitution for pretty much anything! I mean, have you guys seen @TabithaBrown ‘s carrot bacon??
But I don’t actually recommend “replacing” foods.
If you’re currently eating everything, start by introducing one new vegan recipe a week into your repertoire and ordering takeout from one new vegan restaurant each week.
Then replace your “usuals” with vegan recipes you like EVEN MORE!!
If you’re already vegan (yayyy!) or are thinking of transitioning to veganism (YAYYYYY!) then here are some examples of what I eat in a normal day as a vegan:
→ Tortilla banana peanut butter roll-ups
→ Oatmeal with fresh berries
→ Avocado pasta with roasted tomatoes
→ Burritos with rice, beans, potatoes, onions, kale, avocado, and salsa
