Top 5 Ways To Ground Your Energy During A Full Moon

How’s this full moon treating you?

It’s a supermoon!

That means the Moon is really close to Earth, and from a physics perspective, we're getting more sunlight filtered off the surface of the moon, so everything on Earth has more energy since the sun is the source of all energy on earth.

That's why it just seems like everything is really riled up!

We’re absorbing more energy!

If there’s anything that isn’t serving you in your journey, you’re going to feel this a LOT because you just don’t have the space for energy that doesn’t serve anymore.

The full moon shines a light on what is holding you back from achieving your goals.

The trick is to do practices to stay grounded a few days before, during, and after, to ride the wave of the full moon energy.

When you learn how to embrace the full moon energy, it’s a beautiful time to tap into deep creativity.

(Case in point: you’ll notice I usually publish a bunch of blog posts around a full moon 😆).

Wanna know how I take care of myself during this full supermoon lunar eclipse collective conscious craziness?

  1.  Abhyanga Bath

I take a lot of baths. If I know it’s going to be an intense day (full moons are always intense!), I’ll give myself a proper Abhyanga Bath.

It’s an Ayurvedic practice of oil massage that creates an energetic barrier. Slough yourself with a dry brush on dry skin before you oil yourself up if you’re so inclined.

2.  Walk Barefoot in Nature

How do you ground your energy, shake off the stuff you don’t need anymore? Get literal: put your skin on the ground! Putting your feet in the earth stimulates the hormones that allow your body to calm down.

I like a barefoot hike on sand if I can help it, but anywhere you can kick your heels off and feel your connection to the actual, natural earth will help you ground anything that rises up from the full moon’s spotlight.

3. Eat Root Vegetables

Well, I just really love potatoes, but root vegetables, being that they come from the earth, help to unblock anything blocking your root chakra so energy can flowy freely between you, mama earth, auntie moon, and the whole damn universe.

Prepare them simply: chopped as a meditation, steamed or boiled to al dente, drained and tossed with flaky salt and some herbs or a simmer sauce you like. I add avocado and sprouts to pretty much everything I eat.

4. Meditate

I mean, duh.

Consider a constellation meditation in the Taoist tradition. (Here’s a reminder to future Morgan to actually record this meditation sometime.)

Sit in a comfortable meditation position, such as lotus.

Breathe slowly until your thoughts still, about 20 minutes.

Imagine all of the constellations above your head, all of the universe pouring its information into your aura.

Receive for as long as you’d like.

Journal and rest afterwards.

Sleep backwards on your bed to integrate.

5. Bubble journal

Sometimes I can write linear sentences.

Sometimes I need to write a series of words that are somehow interconnected in my brain but don’t fit together to form a sentence.

(This happens to me a lot after deep psychic development practices like above.)

It can look like this photo below (this is my business plan download that I pass off to my VAs to turn into actual content. My VAs are geniuses that this is what they have to start with omg).

The point is to get your thoughts OUT and then connect them to see where the holes are in whatever you’ve got cooking.
