How do you want your life to feel?
This is a journal exercise, y’all!
You’re gonna write yourself a letter.
Often, we let the past dictate our present.
Today, we’re gonna use that to our advantage.
Set a timer for 10 minutes. Use it to settle in.
Make a cup of tea (no alcohol, no weed). Grab your favorite pen, open a gmail draft, or get your chosen writing implementation ready. Get comfortable.
Set your timer for 20 minutes.
Write or type your stream of consciousness response to these questions. 20 minutes per bold question.
How do you want your life to feel?
What sensations do you want to have in your body?
What tastes, smells, textures, sounds, sights?
What emotions?
What is your body able to do?
How do you want your life to feel?
Reset your timer.
What does your ideal day look like, from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed?
Your eyes open.
Do you have the option to sleep more, or do you want to wake up excited for what’s happening that day?
Do you have a partner in bed with you, or are you alone?
Do you check your phone or check in with yourself first?
In what order do you clean yourself?
When and what do you eat?
When and how do you exercise?
When and how do you work?
What are you doing for work? How are you trading your time for money?
In your ideal world, friends!
This is make believe!
Dream big!
What is the itinerary for your ideal day?
Yay! You did it! Don’t reread it.
Fold it up and put it away, in an envelope, in a journal, somewhere you can reference it again. We’ll be looking at it later this month.
