Let’s clean out your sink.
The sink is the bed of your kitchen.
If your bed isn’t made, your whole room looks dirty, even if everything else is neat as a pin.
If your bed is made, it pulls the whole room (and your energy) together.
Same same but different with the sink.
If it’s full of stains and dirty dishes, the rest of the kitchen is going to look messy.
It’s it’s sparkly and clean, it’s going to be easier to keep everything else clean.
Plus, it’s so satisfying, you guys.
Nothing like a sparkly sink.
Maybe you’ll have time to clean the rest of your kitchen, too.
What I do is, sprinkle a sponge with Bartender’s Friend, and scrub away.
It takes about 5 minutes, unless there are dishes.
(There are always dishes).
Then it takes, like, 6 minutes.
Unless it’s a really dirty sink.
In which case, you’ve got to make a paste with the Bar Keeper’s Friend (or oxiclean or bon ami or whatever scrub-a-dub you like) and let it sit for 20 minutes.
Wipe off the counters and the stove.
Wipe down the microwave.
Alphabetize your spices.
Tidy your fridge.
All these things take, like, 5 minutes max.
You can get so much done!
You’ve got an hour!
Clean your kitchen, y’all.
