Let’s Journal!
Your solar plexus chakra is your source of will power.
Will power, or your motivation, is a depleting resource that resets when we sleep. (It’s one of the reasons I focus so many of these rituals on sleep!
We use up will power every time we make a decision.
From what you’re going to wear that day
to what you’re going to eat
to whether to divorce your partner
to whether to take the scenic route
All of those decisions either feed your will or deplete it.
Here’s what I want you to do:
Write down what makes you feel powerful.
Make a list.
At least five things.
Here are five of my things: swimming in the ocean, kissing my boyfriend, doing a headstand, teaching someone else how to do a headstand, writing.
All of these are things that fill me with the kind of energy that make me want to do more things.
Now write down the things that make you feel powerless.
These are the things that deplete you of energy.
Here are some of my things: traffic, going too long between meals, large groups, injury, worry.
Now write down how you can work the things from the first list, the ones that make you feel powerful, into your day to day life.
More ocean
More kissing
More teaching
And write down ways you can eliminate the things that make you feel powerless.
Ride your bike instead of driving
Schedule meal planning dates with yourself
Invite friends out for one-on-one hangs instead of exhausting yourself with the group hang
That’s it, friends.
Go do the things that make you feel powerful.
Avoid the things that deplete you of your power.
Be well.
